Forest House

Over the river and through the woods to the forest house we go. Literally!

Hello Reader, today you are about to witness something you may or may not have seen before, but whatever the case, you will be amazed. I am talking about a forest house built from the the ground up with 2 machetes, a saw, a shovel, and man power.

The other day I went to go and document some of the construction, and we also had the pleasure of having guests. Thankfully, the house has a fully usable fire pit with a specified area for sock-drying, in case your ice-bridge over the river has collapsed and you are not quite as nimble as you remember being 5 years ago.

Built by Dave, my hubby, and Bo, his brother, the forest house is in an secret location. Curious? You should be :)

Forest Love

I love the woods. I went on a walk and was in awe of the beauty, but it has always been hard for me to photograph because it is hard when there is no obvious focal point. This was an experiment on how to find a focal point and create interest. Also, I decided instead of making each photo the same, to edit them each differently so that they each have their own feel and flavor. I hope you will be as captivated by the woods as I am!
